Natur Bornholm-Center

NaturBornholm-Center, where science meets entertainment, hosted ROCK FOSSILS next, bringing it back to Danish soil during its global museum tour.

On Denmark's easterly island, ROCK FOSSILS embraced its "Faxe design." NaturBornholm's Director, Peter Haase, said, 'With 60,000+ global visitors yearly, we aim for a wide international audience.'

And Jesper Milàn from the geology museum in Faxe had this to add: ‘ It's great to see the continuing interest in the exhibition from museums around the world. That such a dull field as Zoological Nomenclature (the science of naming organisms) can be the focus of an international success is just great. On a scale from 1 to 10, this one goes to 11.’

Dotternhausen's Werkforum & Fossil museum

ROCK FOSSILS on Tour hit Dotternhausen's WERKFORUM & FOSSIL MUSEUM with a regal boom! It all began with a rock fest collab: the mighty BANG YOUR HEAD! Festival. Werkforum and Fossil Museum staff named a crinoid near the fest grounds 'Bang Your Head! crinoid' in metal's honor. Lucy, the replica of the famed prehistoric human discovered in Ethiopia in '74, made her debut. She's named after the Beatles' classic "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." A fresh exhibition trailer got the green light.

The Bern design got pumped for Dotternhausen, sporting fossils from Bern and ACCEPT's METAL HEART. Wolf Hoffmann, Peter Baltes from ACCEPT, and Horst Franz, BANG YOUR HEAD!'s head honcho, kicked off the exhibit with autographs, plus museum-first stage diving and crowd surfing! A fitting start for ROCK FOSSILS in Dotternhausen, packed with tours and talks. Rebellious Spirit even cranked out an awesome free acoustic gig for the exhibit visitors.

Natural History Museum in Bern

After the Oslo show, the Natural History Museum in Bern, Switzerland, hosted another gig. They expanded the exhibition big time, adding new displays, sound installations, lights, and even a debut of 'Rock the Timescale'. Talks, a bar, DJs, concerts, and a family day rounded out the scene.

The Bern crew named a fossilized Jurassic sea urchin after Eluveitie, displayed alongside Etruscan jewelry. 10 Tons showcased a fossil cast of Jaggermeryx naida, an homage to Mick Jagger. Paleoartist John Sibbick, known for Bolt Thrower's art, crafted a detailed reconstruction.

A nod to Wacken Foundation with the 'Wacken ichthyo' prehistoric fish! Metal legends ACCEPT loaned the METAL HEART sculpture to ROCK FOSSILS on Tour. Over 40,000 fans experienced METAL HEART and ROCK FOSSILS, thanks to the cool logo by Bern Natural History Museum – a heart made of ancient creatures. The ROCK FOSSILS trailer featured Mark Filip and Marcel 'Schmier' Schirmer from Destruction.

Eluveitie rocked the "hall of bones," giving life to the skeletons. Don't miss "Eluveitie rocking the skeletons" – especially after sunset.
